Scarlett Bailey was born and raised in Tāmaki Makaurau and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Theory and a Master of Counselling from the University of Auckland. The focus of her practice is helping clients with ADHD and ASD make sense of their neurodivergence and harness their strengths, so they can work with their brains rather than against them.
Scarlett favours a collaborative and eclectic therapeutic approach, which includes CBT, ACT and inner child work among other modalities. She encourages laughter, creativity and playfulness in the therapy room.
Scarlett’s couples work is grounded in the Developmental Model, which focuses on helping couples understand their patterns and develop the skills needed to navigate differences and deepen intimacy. She works with people in relationships of all kinds (monogamous, open, and polyamorous) and with partners of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
